„Show me how you build and I’ll tell you who you are“

(C. Morgenstern)

For more than 15 years, I have been involved in healthy building, living and life and have been able to gain a lot of practical experience in my profession as an electrical engineer, building biologist and measurement technician. My career includes an apprenticeship as an electrician, master craftsman for electrical engineering, vocational maturity examination at the HTL for electrical engineering Klagenfurt as well as the degree programme in energy & environmental management (environmental engineering) and building technology and building management at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, Pinkafeld location.

My mentor, trainer and colleague Dipl. Ing. Werner Pelz brought me to building biology in 2003, to the Institute for Building Biology+Sustainability (IBN), under the direction of Prof. Dr. A. Schneider at the time, where I completed the training as a Building Biologist IBN and Building Biological Measurement Technician IBN/ SBM in five years of training. This training, which is unique in the world, includes the professional recognition, analysis and evaluation of all health-relevant indoor factors in the physical, chemical and microbial areas.

I also completed two expert training courses at TÜV Rheinland and TÜV Süd in the field of building diagnostics and for mould damage, as well as the degree course in “Energy and Environmental Management” (environmental technology) at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, Pinkafeld. Since 2018, I have been studying part-time for a Master’s degree in “Building Technology and Facility Management” at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland.

Due to my comprehensive training, I work throughout Austria in the search for indoor problems or preventively for private customers, doctors and environmental physicians and am called upon by engineering firms, construction companies, architects and institutes for consultations, measurements and lectures.

I am aware of the great responsibility of this work, which is why ongoing further training and quality assurance are very important to me in order to offer my clients the highest possible quality.

I would be very pleased to meet you in person!
